Wow, what a July for Disneyland!  On the 17th, Fantasmic! returned to the Rivers of America.  The show included updated projector technology, and new scenes, including an Aladdin and Jasmine flying carpet scene, as well as Captain Jack Sparrow in a spooky new Pirates of the Caribbean sequence on the Columbia ship.  The OC Register has a full report on the new show, which is very popular and features some Dining Packages, including a new Quick Service option at the Hungry Bear restaurant.

The rest of the Rivers of America attractions return this weekend, including the Mark Twain and the DIsneyland Railroad! We can't wait!

Disneyland's Max Pass begain on July 19th.  The cost is $10 per ticket per day to have electronic access to Fast Passes in both parks.  Passholders can purchase for $75 that's good until their pass expires.  It is included with Signature Plus passes.  We will be reviewing this feature soon and how it impacts your time in the parks.

Finally, D23 came with lots of announcements for the company, with several big ones for Disneyland Park. First and foremost, more was revealed about Star Wars land, now officially known as Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.   From the Disneyland Press Release, "the 14-acre land will open with two anchor attractions – one that gives guests the chance to pilot the Millennium Falcon on a customized secret mission, and another that puts guests right in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance. Guests will also encounter various characters, including BB8, Chewbacca, Rex and Kylo Ren. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open first at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, Calif., followed by Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Fla., in 2019."        In 2018 at Disneyland, Pixar Fest will include a new fireworks show at Disneyland Park, special characters and experiences.  Pixar Play Parade will move to Disneyland, while the beloved Paint the Night will move to DCA.   Paradise Pier in DCA will become Pixar Pier in 2018, featuring characters from the favorite Pixar films and new experiences in the area.   Finally, additional Marvel super heroes will make their way to DCA for an immersive superhero experience.  Check out more details on the D23 Press Release.

It's a great summer to visit the Resort, with more to come in 2018 and 2019!
