First of all, Happy Birthday Walt Disney! Disneyland decided to celebrate with some news!
After the announcement that the Main Street Electrical Parade is indeed coming back to Disneyland, we now have a tangible date! The parade premieres on January 20, 2017 and will run nightly (yep, that means you can see it on weekdays too!) through June 18th - the day it first stepped off at Disneyland 45 years ago. Throughout the celebration, Guests can enjoy special merchandise and food offerings commemorating the limited special event. For those who can't wait, a special premiere ticketed event with a private showing of Main Street Electrical Parade will take place on January 19th. Guests can enjoy Disneyland after the park closes with most attractions and restaurants, and watch the parade with a few less crowds as well! Annual Passholders can buy tickets tomorrow, December 6th, and they open for sale to the public on December 13th. Stay tuned and we will provide information here on DIO!
For Guests still enjoying the Holiday Season, the festivities at Disneyland and DCA will run through January 8th. If you want to see the Christmas Fantasy Parade, attraction makeovers, or sample the holiday cuisine, be sure to stop by before January 8th 2017!
As far as other early January news goes, right now Fantasy in the Sky is scheduled for weekends in January, but will likely be overshadowed by the MSEP.
