Halloweentime is in full swing at the Resort, with Mickey's Halloween parties starting this weekend, decorations all around, Haunted Mansion Holiday, and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy! Along with the kick off to things is the return of the Southern California Annual Passport, for the first time in 2 years.
The Disney Parks Blog announced the return of the $459 pass today, which for the last 2 years has only been available to those renewing, not new purchases. The pass features fewer blockout dates than the So Cal Select Pass but is a popular alternative for So Cal residents (not available to those outside So Cal zipcodes) to the more expensive Deluxe or Signature passes. Guests can still renew for a $20 discount, and can upgrade from their current pass to the new pass at the full renewal rate.
Last weekend at the Disneyland Hotel we definitely noticed a welcome reprieve in crowds after the 60th anniversary, and it will be interesting to see if pass changes impact that. The Haunted Mansion Holiday 2016 is very cool and worth seeing, especially the newly added Holly in the Graveyard and the Gingerbread House in the ballroom. Hyperspace Mountain, Star Wars style, has gone and been replaced by Ghost Galaxy once again. It should be an exciting fall at the Resort!
