Considering food and characters, where is the best place to go for a character breakfast?

I really liked the one at The Paradise Pier Hotel. Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Donald and Stich were all there. They dance and sing to surf music and you can get up on stage and dance with them. The characters come and interact with you at the table. The food was excellent. Although I generally find the food to be better at the Disney Hotels than in the park. We also booked one of the earliest reservations. The restaurant was just beginning to get crowded as we left. It was perfect.

That's a good idea to get there early!

We have several times. Food good great selection. They have chip and dale and couple of bears I recognize but don't know their names. It is real good for little kids. They get them on a center floor and do the hokey pokey.

We ended up choosing Goofys Kitchen. It's a bit more expensive from what I understand and it's not in the park but we are eating there the morning of the Halloween party!

That's exactly what I was thinking of doing. Go for character breakfast then had back to hotel to get dressed up and then had to the Halloween party.

That is exactly what we did the day we went to the Halloween party. We had a late brunch time. Got my daughters hair done at Anna and Elsa's. Went to the hotel to get ready then went into park at 3ish

Leanne we are doing the 31st also! It's our first time doing the party and of all the times we've been, we've never been during Fall. LOL. Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day but not Fall. Can't wait!

The Halloween decorations alone is amazing at Disneyland. but the party is incredibly fun. You better be dressing up, cause it definitely adds to the fun.

Lol! We are! My son is a Pizza Planet delivery boy and I am either the Evil Queen(found awesome apron dress/cape on Etsy) or Haunted Mansion cast member with Leota as my name tag! LOL. My husband(not a big DisFan) said "why Leota? You're name is Darlene". Lmao. He's not the brightest bulb in the Disney marquee but I love him. Lol

It seems like the majority of people like plaza inn and goofys kitchen. Also, sounds like fun for Halloween!!

We just did the critter breakfast @ the Grand and we loved it!! We weren't rushed like we have at other character meals, the characters themselves were very entertaining and funny!! And the food was very high quality and delicious!!

Chance- what were the characters there?

We saw Pluto, Chip, Dale, and both of the brother bears. I know they're not the big head liner characters but they made up for it by the way they interact with each table. They also periodically play music and you do different dances with the characters.

I always really like Goofy Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel, with my experiences I have seen, in my opinion, somewhat rarer characters along with all the classics.

Did the goofys kitchen character breakfast this morning. The food was fantastic but I must say, we were disappointed in the variety of characters. There were only 4 other than goofy, and we had to sit and wait for 2 of them to come to us before we left.

We love Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast. We usually arrive very early in the morning from Hilo, so we drop our bags at the hotel and go to Goofy's. Because we are there so early, it's usually pretty empty, and we get to interact with the characters at will.

It must be hit or miss Senior Micky, we once tried goofys kitchen super early, and only caught two characters. it was very disappointing and we were discouraged from doing breakfast there again. My personal favorites are surfs up for food. And plaza for characters. Goofys was so worth it when they used to have the large variety of characters

oh, my, Amanda:-), we were just there in September and were there as soon as they opened. We had several characters come in and take pictures with us! The "verbal" characters seem to love chatting to adults! We rarely go anywhere else for character breakfast. PP was neat, though.

I can only speak to our experience at Goofys but it was great! Yes, sometimes we waited a bit for characters to come by but when they did, it was really fun interaction and Goofy walked by a lot and waved and high fived everytime! We also got to see them all around the hotel too, it was great! My only complaint is that the picture you take before entering should be included. Food was amazing!! And they kept the coffee coming...

In their defense Senior Micky, that experience was about 4 years ago. I? should probably give them a break and try again. Which verbal characters did you see? Did they go away from just having goofy, Pluto, Minnie, chop & dale? That would be awesome if they brought back the variety of characters!

Amanda:-), there were a couple of the "older" princesses, like Snow White, one of the Prince Charmings, etc. We loved chatting, and thanked them for coming to our table. We actually didn't think any of the characters would come over, because we do not have kids. They all stopped by. We wanted to get as much Pluto time as possible. Our beloved Golden Retriever passed 9 days before our trip, and Pluto has always been our "Disney Golden."
