What is the most overrated ride at disneyland? Peter pan is my choice. Not worth the hour + wait for a simple dark ride.

'Ello Poppet
Buzz light year astro blasters but I do love all rides I just think this one is a bit meh

I love them all. I Avoid Matterhorn because it kills my back and the line is always too long. Don't care for Astro orbiters either.
292
Dis Nerdy
Autopia. I never really got the appeal, but totally agree about small world!
1270
Fatima N
Big thunder mountains or whatever. So slow and not really????
6540
Evil Queen
big thunder is my absolute favorite!
1270
Fatima N
I used to love it. But I waited 45min once and I was kinda bored on the ride. I don't mind waiting in line at all but it just didn't pay off.
6540
Evil Queen
yeah we only get to go every 5 years or so so it feels new every time maybe if we lived closer I wouldn't love it as much
662
Chipper314
I'd have to vote for Star Tours
1270
Fatima N
I get that evil queen.
162
Waiting for Disney Days to start
Small world its so long and boring.
36
Polarbearjoe
I'm going to go with small world..
684
MrBaub
Star Tours for sure
178
Captain Jeff Sparrow
For my family and I we don't think there is a overrated ride. Every ride brings the kid back out of us
1804
Pirate Family
The canoes for me. I Don't go to Disneyland to work up a sweat
2774
Mamaof12
Oh yes dizney family ! I totally agree. Road them once. Never again lol
196
EllieEsco
Autopia... I always get a headache from the exhaust. I'm not a huge fan of Matterhorn either because it also gives me a headache and it just hurts my back!
260
Mr toad
I really like the canoes
152
Winnie Torres
Oh no evil queen if you lived closer you would love it even more!!
6540
Evil Queen
your probably right :)
25
Skeleton Grin
I'm going to go with Indiana Jones. It's a good ride, just didn't live up to the hype.
52
IloveDisney
definitely peter pan for us. I don't get why it's so popular. maybe if the wait time is like 10 minutes but will not go on it if the wait time is longer.
220
Disneymaniac
small world
96
4E
Star Tours for sure! Not specifically talking overrated or not; seems we skip all Frontierland rides, except Splash Mountain, unless it's cold when we go, then we skip that too actually.
60
DisneyFreak
Star tours and Autotopia..im a star wars fan but i have to admit the ride isnt all that.
132
C.Holman8
there is no overrated ride at Disneyland they're all special in their own way :)
126
Small World that tune yuk
6540
Evil Queen
I guess I would say the tea cups, only because they make me insanely nauseous
413
Pirate
I lime them all but there are some that I like more than others
4712
Amanda :-)
yes I like peter pan. yes its nice to "fly" over london. but no. no it is definitely not worth the hour+ line. and in dca, the toy story mania line actually makes me angry lol. it is ridiculous.
222
Pirate 67
astro blasters is in my view..... I wont include small world because it reminds me of my grand girls which they loved it so I ride it and think of them when I miss them
10
if you mean wait time vs ride funness , I'd say Peter pan. although I would like to ride it after 7 years of not wanting to wait in line.
152
Lady70
I'd have to say small world as well, never did care for it
358
QueenieBird74
Peter Pan. Boooorrrriiiinnnngggg! *yawn*.
413
Pirate
if I really, really, really have to pick, it would be the finding nemo submarine ride only because it's a little claustrophobic for me
6
Glantern3601
I have to agree with the Nemo subs. Went on them once and do not plan on going again.
954
MariaC
Nemo subs too. Just like Pirate, went on it once and won't go again. I liked the old Sub ride they had many years ago.
858
Tinkerkelle
star tours I preferred the old one much more honestly. I also think the matterhorn sucks it's so bad on your back and so rough although the updates are cool. I also am not a fan of tower of terror but the hotel set up is neat.
980
Beachboy
Space Mountain! Of this ride was outside no one would ride it. It is not a great coaster and the dark helps to conceal that.
710
DisneyPrincess
Finding Nemo
6540
Evil Queen
also dumbo is a really long wait for what you actually get
1904
Whoever
Dumbo I can forgive because it is really meant more for little kids. I didn't think that Nemo was worth the wait.
2828
Pixie dust
I agree every ride is special in its own way. There are some we definitely ride more than others but I can't pick one I'd go on any just to be there
44
Mr Marvel
The canoes, you actually have to paddle. soooo much work......j/k
2288
Sushidude
Pirate if you walk up to the exit and ask to set in the observation booth, they will escort you to a room on the side where you sit in a large AC room and watch on a big screen. it cool for those who get claustrophobic.
1904
Whoever
Sushidude- they also use that room for guests in wheelchairs or those who cannot get into the sub. I have done it both ways, and the sub is definitely more fun, but the room is good if you are claustrophobic.

Omg, I LOVE Small World! Always reminds me of going with my mom and dad when I was a little girl? I think Star Tours and Indie are overrated!
684
MrBaub
Star tours without question
78
zoocrew90
I guess Peter Pan. It's a cool ride, but not worth waiting much more than 30 minutes. Even my 9 year old said "We waited all that time for this?!"
668
PassportPrincess
I have to agree with Peter Pan. Although I love the magic of it... It's just too quick for the long long wait!
2828

Autopia. Lame ride, zero entertainment value.

Evil Queen
I agree that autopia isn't very exciting for adults but its awesome for young kids...they get to drive a car!
56
WendyBird
I agree with Pooh in 72, Finding Nemo ride is a snore! I actually like astro blasters, it's fun just to get into it and compete. My photos from that ride always turn out so silly! Of course, if the line for astro blasters is over 20 minutes, I usually skip it.
800
THE3LINGS
Peter Pan always a long wait
126
small world the music yuck !
424
Grimmmm Grinning Ghost1
Autopia. I think it's bland and boring. Only ride I don't ride.
614
Lovethemouse
Autopia for sure. This is disneyland for goodness sake. You can go anywhere for go carts. And it takes up so much space. Needs to replaced
38
DisneyDad
For me it's the storybook land canal boats.
614
Lovethemouse
If I were in charge autopia ,finding nemo, Tom Sawyer island, Tarzan treehouse, jungle cruise, tiki room, the steam boat, and astro blaster all need to go with new updated rides put in. No one just loves these. Yes i know some are classic like jungle cruise but how lame can you be. It's time to replace and bring exciting new rides with more updates on newer Disney films. They also need to keep toon town but they really need to update it and bring some excitement back to that section. It's boring over there now and it doesn't have to be.
180
Bossy22
Thank goodness you're not in charge!!! My family loves jungle cruise(ride it at least 5 times a trip! As well we love the tiki room, steam boats and Astro blaster is a personal favourite of mine. Also love pirate island! Autopia we could do without! So your statement that no one loves these is wrong!
7328
'Ello Poppet
I love jungle cruise
22
Walt3rd
I'm in the minority, but I don't mind small world. love it, in fact, during the holidays.
22
Walt3rd
Peter Pan is not overrated, it's just too popular. it Really needs a fast pass line. and I know exactly where I would place it.
22
Walt3rd
I do agree Buzz quickly loses its appeal after a couple of rides.
353
Disneydarling
I really enjoy astro blasters, it seems every time we go to the park it's a walk on ride though, I've never waited in line for it.
2456
Memnv
small world for sure
152
Rocks1913
Submarine ride, a little boring and claustrophobic
2774
Mamaof12
Rocks1913 have you tried the submarine ride in the stationary building. ? You don't go on the sub. It's reall nice and cool in the summer. Usually no wait either
1112
E's Mom
When DL stopped running the Submarines a few years back, people just whined! The launch of the new submarines aka Nemo, was highly anticipated. The lines were soooooo long. It is not a high capacity attraction. Nowadays, it's not at all busy. I loved the old submarines. I think I'm too jaded to believe I am deep underwater now. Not Disney's fault that I grew up!
260
Mike - MPT Owner
I used to hate the tiki room, but now it is one of my must dos!
1112
E's Mom
Mike, have you heard the old version of Tiki Room? They cut out some of the song to make the ride turn-over more quickly. I purchased the orig version fm the music store on Main Street when they used to sell CDs.
260
Mike - MPT Owner
I don't know. I might have. For how often it is on repeat on family rides, it makes up for anything left out! :)
2
Lab Rats Fan
I agree with whoever said Autopia. It's time to jazz up that ride. At least make steering easier and make it stall less often.
356
LaKe'sha
star tours- ugh this ride makes me sick every time. Small World- its not how it use to be. And Peter Pan- I alwasy get off the ride saying "that was it". We only ride it 2xs a year
36
Alyssa Tomlinson
Star tours. I have no problem skipping that ride
232
Fagoo
star tours traumatized me when I was six, so I resentfully hate it now lol. other then that, I've never been a huge fan of space mountain. the music is weird (not as bad as that time they had red hot chili peppers though, ick!), it's always such a long wait, and the lights hurt my eyes.
214
Disneybaby
Hard to decide Star Tours or Finding Nemo. Have to ask a small child.
440
Janessa Jean Chrisp
Pirates of the Caribbean. Don't get me wrong, I love the ride and love the atmosphere. But it's just a little too slow, a little too tame and a little too Jack Sparrow oriented. I would like to see a refurb of the ride that tells maybe a more complete story (as it is right now, it's a little disjointed in places).

It's Astro blasters for me! I think I like finding nemo? But I always always fall asleep on that ride, never fails ha! So I guess I'm on the fence with that one, stand in a long line just to fall asleep? lol

The beauty of Disneyland is that it's structured with choices, there's something that can appeal to everyone. Not every guest will adore every attraction and that's ok.... most will pick out a favorite. Most folks have their favorite change as they get older. That is part of the Magic of Disneyland... it allows for change. It offers up options for young and old alike. My favorite used to be Peter Pan. I wouldn't stand in that line now if you paid me! ;-)
284
Nat's DaD
None . All of the rides have some appeal and enjoyable. I don't believe any ride is really over rated

I think radiator springs racers is very overrated. I mean it's a super amazing ride but just not worth waiting hours in line, I really would rather go on splash mountain or haunted mansion

There's no bad ride they are all good and worth the waiting. Happiest place on earth

To me I would say Indiana jones because I'm not a fan of the movies so to me the ride is boring but somehow it always has such a long wait
336
pixiedandruff
ngl, forever rolling my eyes at all the 'all the rides are perfect!!1!!' comments. it's okay to not like them all, calm down folks. i say haunted mansion is way overrated. last trip it broke down and we were stuck in the ballroom for half an hour with the sorry announcement going off every six seconds. the rare times it doesn't stop halfway through, it's just okay.

finding Nemo sub

DisneyNana
I agree. Finding Nemo. Too long of a wait. It's kind of cute but not something I need to go on twice.
1022
Rae
I agree with Finding Nemo. Slow boarding & line too long. Instead, we watch the the ride in the observation outpost. Same ride video in an air conditioned room and lots of space without being cramped in the submarine. The observation room also has Disney memorabilia in it to look at. :)
8530
Mickey Bound
What room is that and we're is it?
1022
Rae
Instead of getting into the finding Nemo line, enter through the finding Nemo EXIT. To your right you will see a door. This is the observation outpost. Just tell a cast member you would like to watch from inside the room. When the light turns green, a cast member will let you in. You watch the same Nemo show except you are not in the subs. It's a room with two nice benches and open space. Great place to go if you are in a wheelchair, don't want to collapse your baby stroller, are claustrophobic, or if you just don't want to wait in that huge line. Not many people know about it or use it. It has a disabled sign near the door, but the room is available for anyone to use. People can even sit on the floor if they want.

I going to try this Rae. Thank you!

Sam T Wasteaway
Rae - Thank you for that info :) As far as overrated ride? I do love all the rides, but the motion rides like Star Tours are my least favorite. I loved Adventure Through Inner Space, and I do understand that Star Tours was New ride technology. I just hope the bbew Star Wars land has more traditional rides.
192
Tron3000
Rae, your post is exactly why I keep coming back to this forum! As many times as I have been on the Nemo ride, I never knew about the observation deck! I love finding things that are "new to me" at Disneyland, yet have been there for years! Today I just found out about the lockers by Grizzly River as well, can't wait to use them. In 39 days we will be there and will stay until we go on every ride we can that week....even the overrated ones! Disneyland is like Star Trek to me.....even when it's bad it's still pretty good and I don't want to miss it. Oh, and I agree about RSR, love the ride but the wait is not worth it. I will still do it, but I have Star Trek V on blu-ray so you can see that I sometimes make poor choices.
354
Vince
I love all the rides but if I had to pick I'd go with Peter Pan probably. Just based on wait time for the ride. It can be so crazy!
