Critter Country

Find your laughing place on a blustery day with critters of all sizes, but watch out for Brier Fox & Bear!
Critter Country took up residence in Disneyland in 1988 and replaced the old Bear Country. It is a shady land (i.e. tree covered) hidden in the back corner of Disneyland featuring Splash Mountain and the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Critter Country is one of the quieter lands in Disneyland, and usually only is busy with the crowds from Splash Mountain. The Hungry Bear Restaurant is one of the best restaurants to eat at in the park, with the its forest surroundings and quiet riverscape. Overall Critter Country is one of the best lands to relax in and enjoy your time.

Tip: This is a nice place to relax with an abundance of shade and lack of heavy crowds. On hot days the overhead foilage provides great cover to escape the sometimes opressive Southern California sun. Of course a trip through Splash Mountain and its wet aftermath can help quite a bit as well.

I like to come here because it's off the beaten path and usually has less people and is a lot quieter and the rest of the park
